I would like to have a short range FM Transmitter built that has a built in voice recorder.
The recorder would have a simple button that you would press to record with a built-in mic. No need for a speaker and a speaker for playback. The recording when transmitting would loop forever.
The unit would be powered by a 110 volt plug but needed it small and simple. Just a wire that plugs into the wall. No big DC converter or anything. The unit must be small.
I would need the FM Transmitter to transmit at least 100 feet. Stereo signal would be nice. Needs to be a very clear transmission because it is going to be used for advertising. The box that unit would be housed in can be a simple plastic unit.
This unit is a demo to be used as a test unit for marketing. Once the market has been tested and accepted we would need hundreds built. I have been told by others that this is a simple project. All the components are being used in other items as a stand alone, I just want to make the FM Transmitter and recorder all in one simple small hand held unit.
I do not know what this should cost so forgive me if my budget is incorrect.

As far as the FM frequency, instead of having a dial offering the full range of available frequency, 87.5-108 .0MHz, I would rather have four (4) buttons offering preset frequency. More simple for the end user. The recording time would not need to be more than 3 minutes. I would expect the unit size to be the same as a small hand held tape recorder.( 2" X 1/2" X 4") and can have an external antenna which can be folded inward for transporting and size.

If it is easier to have a dial to set the frequency that is also good. Either way is find, just looking for the most cost affected way to reproduce this item.

Additionally, I would like to add a USB port that would allow end users to upload a MP3 or other standard types of voice files for those who what to use a professional voice talent and would need to upload their file that they purchase.

This might explain better what I am looking for. I also attached an image. It is a little different from the original quote.
This is what I would like to have made. It's a short range FM Transmitter that has a built in voice recorder for up to 4 minutes made.
The recorder would have a simple button that you would press to record with a built-in mic and small speaker for playback. The recording when transmitting would loop forever.
The unit would be powered by a small battery and solar panel or just solar panel if that would work both indoors and out. The unit would only have to transmit during daytime hours.
I would need the FM Transmitter to transmit no more than 100 feet and to meet FCC for USA. The transmission would need to be a very clear transmission because it is going to be used for advertising. It does not need to be in stereo.
I've attached an image of what I would like to have made and the case is available at http://www.polycase.com/
