I am a silicone rubber keypad manufacturer and I am looking for an engineer to write a few case hypothetical studies on creating/implementing silicone keypads. The case studies are intended to help other engineers get a better understanding of why and how to design custom keypads for electronic devices.
The case studies will need to be well written, easy to understand and include some example diagrams and/or drawings. The work must be original and at least 800 words long. The writer will pick the hypothetical part to write the study on.
Here is an example... You need to create a remote for users to use for an DVD player, you need a way for the user to interface and decide that it needs to have buttons. You would then go into the button options you could use along with the pros & cons of each option with the end decision to go with a custom silicone rubber keypad. Then you would go into the design considerations, how to layout the buttons and why, manufacturing considerations or limitations and other possible problems and/or issues to consider when designing this interface.
You will need to create drawings and diagrams to help the reader follow and visualize what you are describing.
When applying for this job please include a PDF of a CAD drawing you have created. I am setting this project up as an hourly job but will pay a set number of hours per case study you create, in your application please include how many hours you will bill for the first case study. If this goes well then I will keep you on staff and have you create additional case studies.
