I need someone to work with me to design the ultimate hexacopter drone. Currently there are many products available online, however they are difficult to assemble and accident prone. I envision a design that is both forgiving for the novice pilot, as well as being simple to assemble. Ideally I want to work with carbon fibre parts. I want a landing gear that can absorb impact, as well as allow for imprefect landings. I have sources for the electronic components. I just want to create an outer shell. I am experienced aerodynamics engineer and although my focus is with general aviation/military aircraft (full size), I have dealt with hexacopters in the past. This project is to design an outer shell for the hexacopter. I can do this while being mindful of the electronics/propellers/structural supports. Hi, I have worked first-hand with composite materials in the past, coupled with an underlying interest in remote control vehicles, and whilst I worked on a RC Car - safely trundling around on the tarmac - I hope much of the knowledge I gained in its design and construction (body shell made from Carbon Fibre using the wet lay-up method) is transferable this project. I am highly competent in CAD modelling and am currently working through the CSWA/CSWP/CSWE range of qualifications.
