The figure shows a light turbine rotated by the application of a torque on the central axis O. The angular velocity is = 15 rad /s, and the angular acceleration is = 8rad/s2. The mass of the rotor is 3kg / m.
Imagine cutting the helix at point A and use the right part (as Shown). Perform a free body diagram and kinetic diagram of this element (note that the mass of the element that you will draw is 15m m = (3kg / m) (15m) = 45kg).
Based on diagrams, determining the internal normal force at the point A (NA).
Determine the internal shear force at point A (VA).
Determine the time of the section at the point A (MA).
