This project is to replace one we posted poorly before.
We are looking for some people who can read construction documents and do takeoffs of the structural steel for us on an ongoing basis.
We expect no drawing, no design, no research, and no estimating...only to open the drawing set, to tally the structural steel and the miscellaneous metals, and to create a BOM (Bill of Materials) in some spreadsheet format. We just want to know how many pieces of steel...description, quantity, size, location and detail reference, if any. Do not include studs or rebar.
Detail drafting may be a possibility in the future for the right person, but that would be a totally different project and pay scale, and is not part of this solicitation.
Here is a good example of the kind of project we mean:
This should take 3-5 hours, depending on your skills. We would expect to pay $30 USD for this.
If you haven't done this, or don't know what we mean, please don't inquire...you won't be able to do it.
Good candidates are working as architectural or steel CAD drafters.
You'll also need good English, and Skype would help, too.
