The project entials taking an Excel 2007 spreadsheet with 6 tabs containing 5 small tables each and generating a highly professional series of reports that can be printed and/or saved as a pdf for ultimate delivery to a paying client.
We envision this report having five or six sections containing several tables and graphs of the data in each table. The graphs would need to be developed for each section. Each section would also include some text proceeding the report explaining it's purpose.
Our internal application extracts and aggregates data from a large database and populates this base spreadsheet. The project requires turning this spreadsheet containing the clients data into a presentation quality report. Once a final report layout and presenation is defined, we will need to be able to generate the same report for all of our clients. We assume that a template or report format can be saved and reused for each client. We would consider the use of a separate report creation tool if this is the only way to get a really high quality impressive report out of Excel. (we simply don't know the reporting capabilities of Excel)
At the end of the project we hope to have a great looking report and a report template that will enable us to re-populae the base Excel spreadsheet with each of our customers data, which will enable us to provide this report to each of our clients in a timely and largly automated way.
It is our belief that the ideal candidate for the project is someone with outstanding Excel reporting and graphing capabilities, a good eye for design and report creation, with an understanding of the tools that might enable us to "streamline" or automate the creation of this report for 100+ clients. We believe this will require a fair amount of collaboration and as a result would prefer there not be any languauge barriers.
