My project involves 3 phases. You will be bidding on the first phase, and we can discuss future development later.

I have a series of reports produced on excel spreadsheets. Each spreadsheet will have 100 - 150 lines, each line representing 1 customer record. Each record has different fields, either identifying the customer (name, postal code, product bought, date of purchase etc) or pricing (fee paid, up-sales, cost of fulfilment, etc). Each record will need to be uploaded to an Access database. The db will need to be searchable, display a full customer record with total sales value of that customer (we can define what this looks like) and allow for manual over-ride modifications.
Once the customer db is built, we will require a re-upload of data. This will search the excel spreadsheets for a single data key, match it against the existing customer record and upload additional pricing information - the additional information is recurring revenue which happens monthly after the point of sale.
Clearly this requires more scoping and discussion which we can have but the above information is sufficient for you to consider the project and whether you're capable of delivering.
I will shortlist 3 vendors to discuss this with. You MUST demonstrate:
- complete fluency in English
- experience of developing in Excel / Access (2007 or 2010)
- project documentation - this is a serious project which is core to our business and we will not be hiring cowboys who can't be bothered to plan or test their work
If you cannot demonstrate the above, you will be ignored and blacklisted from further opportunities with us.
