We are currently designing a database for our business in Filemaker Pro. I have very basic Filemaker Pro skills (as I am learning as I go) - just enough to be able to create tables, import / export data etc but I need help. The database will have a critical relationship linking all tables - called "industry classification". Industry profile will be a relationship in most tables in the database. I am using a globally accepted industry structure which has 9 elements (fields) - but I want to just be able to pick 3. I also want to flexibility so that I can search for a general term and all the options come up in the list. My research tells me I need to probably use a conditional value list, so this is what I am looking for someone to help me with.
I am using this as a trial - should the freelancer job work well I may look at outsourcing the whole design!
I also want to be be able users to be able to move records from one table to another, so need a function for this (eg from Pipeline Database table to Deal Pipeline table).
I will also need some instructions on how to link other tables into the finished database. Thank you
