For my website I want a visitor live tracker with visualization the current visitor's location on a map. To imagine what I mean just have a look to this website: http://www.netimpact.com/services
What I am looking for should look similar to that website applet.
Just let me explain the technics with an example: Visitor x visits my website. The visitor tracking/visualization script is displayed in an iframe (or as an applet if you want to build it as a flash solution). In this iframe a map is displayed. While visitor x is waiting what happens another visitor visits the website. Now your script within the iframe is provided with the new visitor's dataset:
longitude, latitute, timestamp, city name, country. With longitude and latitude the map should be centered to that position, setting a marker, and zoomed in as long as the next visitor enters the website and the other informations (timestamp, city name, country) are for being displayed besides the map.
This tracker should work in realtime. I must give in that I do not know if it is possible to do something like a push command in jQuery/Ajax to the iframe script. Sure, with flash and actionscript this works but I think this is a bit more work to build it.
The IPgeo coordination request isn't part of this project. This is already running on my website so that the feed for your script is already present.
If you have futher questions please ask me.
