We are a UK based Web development company, we have used getafreelancer.com on an adhoc basis for some of our projects in the UK.
Our business strategy for the future is to offer UK based clients an overall web development service that will be professionally project managed in the UK, whilst outsourcing most of the work.
We are interested in building up a source of reliable contacts that we can work with on a regular basis, but also feel that placing projects under getafreelancer.com will ensure prices remain competitive.
As part of our new business strategy we intend to develop a new web site and we have a Dreamweaver template ready to use. We require a company/ individual to prepare the actual copy and add the content & images to the template. The successful candidate will have to have excellent copy writing skills and experience with Dreamweaver & Flash. Good communication skills in English are essential for this project.
Although we have an existing portfolio of clients we would also like to use examples of artwork/ web sites from other freelancers that can be used as part of our portfolio, the candidate will be expected to source these from the “getafreelancer.com” web site.
The template consists of 4 main pages: Home, Company, Portfolio and Services, the page titles can be changed, also the template can be changed by the developer to make more space for copy as opposed to images. To help us assess and choose a suitable candidate we are asking applicants to prepare a mailshot letter along with their proposal that will achieve the following objectives:
· It will be aimed at the directors of companies to help sell our services and generate and appointment for a sales adviser to visit the company.
· One of our main selling points is that we can save business owners on average, between 40%-65% on Web development/ marketing costs.
· It should explain our service without too much detail, i.e. How we utilise a team of highly qualified developers, designers and programmers from overseas countries and provide a professional project management service from within the UK.
It should Attract Attention, Interest, Desire and Action and be no longer than 400 words.
We have already written a mailshot letter ourselves and are using this exercise to help us effectively assess candidates copy writing skills.
