Im setting up my first AS3 website, which will be my portfolio, and am trying to structure the site navigation (ex...menu btns, section transitions, etc...) but im having some difficulty applying it. I was going off this tut here - http://www.demetri-media.com/Sven/ActionScriptTransitions2.html – and was wanting to use this for my structure (timeline based), but need a little help adjusting the code to make it function correctly in the file i have. Im also needing to have each menu button disabled, when clicked, for that specific section that was selected. Then the button re-enabled when clicked to leave that section to go to another one (hope that makes sense). I have everything setup in my file, code is placed and temporary animation is done. I just need the code adjusted so the buttons in the "topRight" movieclip will communicate with the timeline inside " centerMC". If you open up my files > jkvc 2013 website > dev > loadedContent.fla – and go into the movieclip “topRight” the code for the buttons is in the “as” layer. All the code for the “myFunction” button CLICK is commented out and is what is needed to be used and adjusted to make this function work. That should do it.
The second thing I need is swfAddress and deeplinking applied to the template.
If you have another block of code that you would like to use, then im open to that. I just need to have all the code in the .fla file and be able to animate everything on the timeline, while keeping the buttons and structure the same, since im primitive and not a coder..lol. Sad I know...ha!
