MySQL/vBulletin database recovery help

Project Description:
We recently had a hard drive go corrupt and are looking for critical help...ASAP. We are a large forum operated by vBulletin. Our current host says that the data files of the forum have transferred successfully to a new drive, but the MySQL keeps failing when trying to transfer. They say that: "MySQL must be completely rebuilt" which I don't entirely think is true. I do realize it is missing some files though.

Our host has transferred a backup of the database from July but again the SQL keeps kicking out database errors so our site is not back up and running. It is EXTREMELY critical that we do not lose our site/forum in it's entirety. Going back to the July backup is fine, but that's about it. I'm not sure if I need to use a third party drive recovery company or what, but if any of you can help with this please Inbox me ASAP. Obviously willing to pay, but we are a non-profit group and don't have a massive budget...just FYI ahead of time.
