Before I detail my project, please do not reply with pitchy things about you and your company, especially when they are not relevant to my request. Bidders that supply me with irrelevant information or don't fit the requirements will be disqualified immediately.

(I'm super easy to work with, but I don't have time to weed through the verbiage.)

I need to create a new logo for a new division of my business. I have a concept in mind and love this logo:

What I would like to find is someone who is not just a graphic artist, but an illustrator who can take this concept (the one that is someone else's logo that I love), create a spin-off that can be my own brand that I can use as a logo for my new division.

Things that will be very important to me in the logo design are as follows:

1) I want an emphasis on blue hues -- think of water, ocean, lakes. This is the feeling I'm going after with colors. Please avoid heavy use of oranges and greens as I hate these colors and want to use them as minimally as possible.

2) I would like the design to print well in color as well as black and white. Please think of how colors will mesh when converted to grayscale.

3) I want the logo to stand out from the crowd -- it will be used to target senior level executives so I want to avoid the stuffy shirt, formal corporate approach and stay true to my artist roots and creative concepts.

4) I would love to emphasize three colors (e.g. 2 blues and a yellow) that could demonstrate our three core values. Something deeper than just a logo.

5) I also want the logo to have a multi-dimensional look, and be playful, but not childish. Again look at the sample link I sent over for inspiration. I love the concept of a chameleon because it illustrates change and the ability to quickly adapt to new environments.

6) I want to stick to a fairly reserved font, however. A font I like is Gill Sans MT, but I do not expect you to use this font. I'm just offering it up so you can get an idea about the styles I am looking for. Clean, fresh, cutting edge and above all lively!

7) I am not in a rush to get this project done. I am more concerned about having it done right than done quickly.

Please provide me with samples of design work that demonstrate illustration abilities. I would like to see as many samples as possible.

I see the project looking like this...

I will pay an initial 25% deposit to commence work, 25% when you present me with beta logos and the balance upon receipt of the final piece. All projects will be run through the Scriptlance escrow system.

I need the final logo sent to me both as a transparent TIFF (high resolution, minimum 300 dpi) and in the original file format. I would prefer Illustrator or Photoshop. Please also include any applicable PMS colors (if relevant.)
