Take a look at the artistic style of characters or scenes from 'Marvel' or 'CD Comics'; covers in 'Black Mask' or 'Dime Detective'. Take inspiration from that kind of realism, and give us something with the same rhythm.

We will publish six titles with crime stories to test the product in Spanish language. The titules will appear as app. We ask for the cover and 3 interior illustrations for each title. Therefore, it will be a work-for-hire project. The property will remain in our ownership (so that we could make changes, transform, or select specific parts of your Artwork), but will recognize the authorship of the illustrators.

Well, thank you for your interest. I've been messaging with some of you regarding your pro/cons. I think it's time to accurate the style we're looking for. Obviously, new technical resources take new results. But, I think it may clarify the style clean, motional, expressive, ... etc for the illustrations. SOme simples I've taken from internet regarding the golden age from detective stories are stampled here. When I mentioned to revise Black Mask's Covers (to inspire) I was referring to that kind of scenes, expressions, enviroment, etc ... But, I'm not asking for ONLY classic ways of painting or drawing. In fact there're some of you whos style is valuable for our purpouses, despite modern techniques they applu, and others, because of not doing it.

That 30's to 60's kind of drawing/illustrating style is what we're looking for. Modern technics allows illustrators to reach different results; that's good. Some of you are close to that style; unfortunately, others don't. For the next 24 h. I'll keep revising your portfolios. Clean illustration, motion in scenes, action in bodies, realistic in layout and enviromental issues, ...

The next step will be to pre-select some of you for the second round. Please to revise your samples to match with our requirements. The artistic touch is important, as to match with budget limitations as well.

Ok, just for enhancing your inspiration. Pulps are not also 'the guy dares of the babe'; you'll see other kind of action, or something different, very often. So, illustrations should go about so many kind of scenes. What you need to do is creating movement, motions and thrillings. The point of viewing, the twists, ... and a pretty well technic deelopment, that's what we're looking for. And I think those samples from classics are enougth.
I'll preselect soon.
Thank you for your messages and interest. Please, I need to focus on your work and portfolio. Don't forget to update it, if your want to accurate with our requements. Good artist skills, time and costs will be considered in a balanced way: everything matters. Regads
