Project Description:
BASIC OVERVIEW:

You will use Adobe InDesign to follow the exact format of an existing template to format a simple document with vector graphics and text. The purpose of the document is to illustrate the steps required to assemble a product.
MATERIALS AND RESOURCES PROVIDED:
-------------------------------------------------------
- Outline in word format detailing each required section of the assembly manual [DOCX format]
- Unformatted draft of parts list and assembly steps with all necessary vector graphics included [PDF format]
- Sample template (of a previous product) for use in guiding layout and graphics style [INDD format]
- Email (or possibly voice by Skype) guidance in answering any questions about the work.
DELIVERABLES:
-------------------------------------------
- Completed INDD file with all required sections as described in the outline. All graphics must be included as links to external illustrator files. [INDD]
- A separate illustrator vector file for each part and assembly step named using the part number/letter or assembly step [AI]
ESTIMATED TIME FOR COMPLETION:

- Total length of document will be approximately 16 pages.
- Project will take about 4 Hours.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
--------------------------------------------------
- Must be able to visualize the sequence and logic of steps required in assembling a product from axonometric drawings.
- This project requires good working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. Must understand how InDesign relates to illustrator files (through "placing" and "linking" external files).
