Need assistance with an Indesign project for a travel pre departure (information) booklet, which we send to our clients prior to them departing for their holidays.
Booklet is to be A4 and will likely be 24 or 28 pages (could be more if design concepts demand that). It will be printed in house on a fairly high end Canon digital printer (with booklet maker attached - so it staples, folds etc). A basic layout exists already (2 column per page), with all content already inserted in the document. The document will (probably) be printed B&W only, though we are considering colour front and back covers. Our printer can handle that, no problems
The current effort needs some fresh design eyes (we are using a re-hashed template) and bascially needs to be tidied up and all of the formatting re-done, as our inhouse skills don't extend that far with Indesign. Ideally we will be able to continue to use this template for other similar projects and documents in the future.
We are on a fairly tight deadline, but given all the content is complete, it should be a fairly quick re-jig and freshen up. Note - we are using CS3 only.

Thanks to those who have bid so far. I should be clearer. All I need is for a designer to come up with a nice, clear, attractive format/template and layout. I can complete the project in terms of typesetting and laying out the copy and inserting any images. I do not need you to complete the entire 28 page document as a finished item. I can then save the file, save as PDF and manage printing. I do not require a completed document, from you. Thanks, should have included this detail at the outset.

I have attached a PDF of the document as it stands, as well as an example (at the end of attached PDF) of what a competitor produces. As you can see the content all more or less all there. All I need is some assistance with the layout and some general design concepts. I don't want to directly copy the competitor document, but the simple clean layout appeals. I can upload the Indesign files as they stand to an FTP site - so it would be a copy paste for you to get started.
I don't need you to finish or complete the document, but rather design a few pages and I can finalise in house. So, it's not a start to finish project that I need. Just some design skills and some inspiration to get me started. (Though if the price is OK, perhaps you could get it 90% finished and I can finish off in-house?
I do have access to images, though I am trying to avoid the over use of these, as it is not a promotional peice, rather a fairly dry information peice, sent out to people who have already booked to travel.
As you can tell, I am fairly new to Freelancer - so still working out how it all works. Thanks for your interest so far and your patience! Cheers, Richard
