Project Description:
I'm looking for a very simple logo for my business name, Storytorch.
I will be publishing a book later this year, and this logo will appear on the bottom of the spine. It will also be used on press releases and on the website.
It needs to work in black and white, and I wouldn't mind a colour version, too.
I had thought about playing around with the fact that there is 'tor' in both words of 'story' and 'torch'. They might intersect somehow. Alternatively, a play on the words could be good - originally I thought a little image might be good - a lighthouse might signify what the word seems to mean.
If there was a small image, I would want to convey - communicating stories/uncovering stories... it's not to look too 'commercial'. It's an Australian publisher too, so those of you familiar with what works in that market should apply. My business not only publishes books, but is a consulting business helping Australian authors. So it has to work for both a book spine, and a letterhead for example.
The final version from you should be in the readable formats for my designer to then inpliment into the cover design... so jpeg, pdf and tif should just about cover it.
