Project Description:
The Business name is: Byron Gourmet Produce (a logo needs to be designed for this name)
Background:
Byron Bay is situated in Northern NSW (Australia). It has a semi tropical climate, pristine beaches, green rolling hills and is well known for it's "clean and green" image (http://www.byronnaturally.com.au/about-byron-bay/ - for more information). Byron Bay with its surrounding towns (known as the "Byron Shire") produce some of the nations best quality produce (much of which is organic) ranging from beef, pork, chickens to Macadamia nuts, coffee, Mangoes, Avocados....the list goes on.
The Business:
Byron Gourmet Produce (BGP) has been created to bring together a fragmented market. BGP approaches local producers and bundles their products under one brand name while acknowledging exactly where the product comes from i.e. There are a number of small coffee farmers in the Byron Shire. BGP has "Byron Gourmet Produce COFFEE", under the branding we let consumers know which coffee plantation the coffee came from i.e. "Ewingsdale plantation" and on the reverse side of the packaging we have a brief description of the characteristics of those particular beans, the soil they were grown in and perhaps a brief history of the plantation.
BGP is a super premium HIGH END brand that showcases and markets the regions produce, offers producers a predictable and steady flow of business/ orders while having the advantage of marketing their specific farm/ business (something that most major brands do not afford). BGP offers customers i.e. retailers, access to a reliable supply of gourmet quality produce from a renowned region.
Only those producers that meets strict quality control guidelines will be permitted into BGP's suite if providers.
BGP's suite of produce will initially concentrate on "non-perishable" produce such as coffee, macadamia nuts, dried fruits and will eventually include perishables such as avocado's, mangoes, fresh meat, eggs, milk and cheeses.
BGP will sell domestically (Australia) however the major push will be towards international markets with a particular emphasis on export to Asia (something that needs to be considered when designing the style guide i.e. colours).
What we need:
1. Logo Designed - keeping in mind the above requirements i.e. the business name "Byron Gourmet Produce" and then whatever the produce is, comes after this name i.e. Coffee, Macadamia's, Beef etc. Also keeping in mind this is a super premium HIGH END product and the logo and style guide should reflect this. We're looking to export to the asian market so again this should be kept in mind for use of colours, symbols etc.
2. Style Guide created - to include guidelines for future designers to keep conformity of the brand and packaging.
3. Mock up packaging created - mock up of a coffee bean package to see the branding and style guide in practice.
