I'm looking for a great 2D artist to draw 20 cartoon backgrounds for the development of a new tablet/mobile game. An example of the type of backgrounds I would like can be found:
They must be drawn using vector graphics tools (e.g. Adobe Illustrator) and supplied in the standard EPS format. The images will be converted to bitmaps in the game and should be optimised for use at about 1366x768 pixels, but they should look good even if scaled down for smaller screens. The backgrounds must be tile-able as I will be animating them on a storyboard. I would like the backgrounds interchangeable so I can essentially create moving backgrounds by piecing them together. I'm looking for a spooky like theme but not too scary it just needs to be consistent across the backgrounds. I will be animating baddies from the backgrounds so I need lots of props like tombstones, trees, houses, in the backgrounds so there are good places where the baddies can pop up at you.
(Please do not bid on my jobs unless you can fulfil the following):
- You must speak and write fluent English so that you can understand and articulate my requirements and I can understand your requests/concerns etc.
- You must be able to complete the work on time.
- You must be responsive in communication in that any communication from you or I should be answered within 24 hours at most.
I am a Senior Software Engineer with a strong .NET background. I specialize in SharePoint, CRM, XAML, C# and also Windows tablet and phone development. I am totally useless when it comes to artwork hence this project. I'm technically savvy and have a solid idea of how things work so I expect all bidders to be professionally sound in their expertise also.
This is the start of something I hope to make big so to the winning bidder - if your work is top stuff - you can expect more work heading your way!
