Have you ever wished you had a guide, crafted by friends and family, that clearly defines a proper course of action for every intimate or awkward situation? A simple manual, containing the rules, regulations and procedures to help navigate all that life throws at you?
The Rules4Life© is perhaps best described as a cross between a panache "coffee table book" and a "Tibetan scroll." Simply put, It that provides a framework to capture life’s rules in an eloquent and functional manner.
Left on the coffee table; in the family room; in the dorm or at the Bar; passed around at your best friend’s wedding; taken on the long overseas trip; carried on the summer camping trip or made a tradition at family get togethers; the Rules4Life is a book that collects the wisdom, principles and experiences of our lives and provides a format for distilling these aphorisms into a series of simple organized rules for enjoyment over the years to come.
Goals and Desired Functionality of Website:
--Goal #1 serve as a virtual storefront for the product
--Goal #2 present, through images & video, the product uses (I will be producing these videos and images)
--Shopping cart (the preferred user experience would keep them in the website while processing order)
--Order processing generates “thank you” email as well as efficiently captures address data in a useable format (i.e. microsoft excel)
--“large slideshow banner” (this would be used to showcase the product and the products use in various scenarios
--Customer feedback section
--Button to share this website with friend via email
--Facebook, Instagram, Gmail links (can provide links)
--Scale to mobile phones.
Expanded functionality :
--User submitted “rules” -- The idea would be to replicate a page from the book (see above) and grant visitors the ability to enter their own rule as well as check off all related catagories. The rule would appear below in a life feed or “semi-live feed” barring admin approval. Once capture in the live feed, visitors could “rate” the best rules on a five star scale and/or like the best rules. At the top of the page in the navigation bar, there would be a list of all “rule” categories. Visitors could then click on a rule category and be taken to a page displaying the top/best rules submitted under that category.
The ability of customers to customize “cover page” with their own personalized text & images. (This could be handled simply be offering a pdf. or word doc template and the ability to resubmit template with order). That said, I would need the functionality for the customer to view the book when finalizing the order. (ex. Wedding card creation websites)
--While I would like this to be built now, if it cannot be, the website created must have the functionality to be able to add these additional components at a later time.
--Background color: White (Clean)
--Colors: White, Grey, Black (clean)
--Font: Eurostile, Arial
