This project is a visual redesign of the site www.WombatPaintBucket.com.
It is open only to freelancers with expertise in both WordPress and graphic design.
I want a more modern, interesting design that suggests a successful company. The site also must do a better job at highlighting specific features of the product, and the benefits those features deliver.
I want to stay with the two major colors on the site – the sand beige background and the bright red of the menu bar – because those are used on the paper labels on the physical products. However, the colors could be highlights in a different design, rather than dominant elements.
I have a large supply of high-quality photos and videos that can be used to enhance the site, now and in the future.
I will be adding testimonials from retailers, professional painters and do-it-yourself users of the products.
The e-commerce functionality is now limited to linking to Amazon.com.
In your bid, state the cost of the project as it now operates, and a second cost for adding e-commerce capability, so users can order the product directly from the company (rather than from Amazon, or in addition to buying from Amazon.)
I would like a price for adding the ability to have retailers register on the site and then log in to see a page where they can order multiple units of the products. Payment for these larger orders could be by credit card, but is more likely to be by check or via an issued Purchase Order.
For both the Amazon.com links and the retailer page, we need the ability to add additional products, change the existing product names, descriptions, prices and images, etc.
The redesign should use standard WordPress features and well-maintained plug-ins, not custom coding if at all possible. Little or no training of the site administrator (me) should be required.
Feel free to provide a "menu" bid -- one price for a straight graphic redesign, a second price for adding e-commerce, a third price for both e-commerce and retailer log-in, etc.
This is NOT a rush job.
