Project Description:
I need a custom logo designed for my website.The brief:
I would like a cartoon-style Big Ben as a logo for my website. If you don’t know what Big Ben looks like, it’s the clocktower of the UK Houses of Parliament. Google 'big ben' to see pictures. I would like the cartoon image to have a face, and perhaps arms if it 'feels' right.
The idea behind the website is:
Ways to save money for tourists visiting London.
This isn’t a corporate website, so I don’t want the logo to be too serious. But it isn’t a cartoon aimed at children either – I want a cartoon which is fun without being childish. As a guide, I like the bee cartoon in the Joomla Beez template, and this is the template I will be using.
If you can link in a ‘money saving’ theme in as well that would be good, but not essential.
You will probably be using Illustrator or Fireworks to create this logo.
The legal stuff:
Acceptance of your bid will form a contract under English law. This will obligate me to pay you for reasonable quality work, and obligate you to provide such work. You’ll also provide a ‘reasonable’ number or revisions until I’m happy with the work. I’ve tried to set down my requirements clearly here so revisions (if any) are kept to a bare minimum – it just makes extra effort for everyone.
As part of this contract you will transfer all worldwide rights (full copyright) to the image(s) which will be exclusively mine in perpetuity. In exchange for this you’ll receive your fee.
About you:
You must have experience of custom graphic cartoon design to a high standard.
You must be able to provide graphical evidence to me of previous experience in such projects.
Other stuff:
If I like your work I may ask you to make cartoons of other iconic London buildings and images. That would not include part of this project, but would be a separate project at a future time.
I will select the winning bidder on the strength of the artwork you submit to me as well as price.

Hi all. Logos can be either Illustrator or PSD. I think results are likely to be better in Illustrator.
