Position: Graphic artist for graphic novel about telecommunications/ Internet technology, regulation and economy
Creative graphic artist wanted for a graphic novel. It's a complex project that has to be carried out over a short period of time (ca. three months).
Examples: The 9/11 report. A graphic adaptation (Sid Jacobson, Ernie Colòn); Reinventing Comics (Scott Mccloud); Creating your own graphic novel (Mike Chinn, Chris Mcloughlin)
capable of working over extremely short deadlines
open to remarks, be a perfectionist and willing to contribute actively with own ideas
experienced with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and other software widely used in the industry
capable of interacting with print factories and colour experts
good at mixing technical details with humour
passionate with telecommunications, technology, the Internet
knowledge and understanding of English required; command of French and Italian a plus
ability to sketch then pencil and ink
Sketch, storyboard and final pages delivery - based on art direction and detailed briefings
BUYER OWNS COPYRIGHT TO CHARACTER DESIGNS BASED ON STORY. ARTIST WILL BE REQUIRED TO SIGN A CONTRACT AND RETURN BY MAIL OR FAX. IF PROJECT GOES TO COMMERCIAL STAGE ARTIST WILL RECEIVE A ROYALTY ON COVER PRICE.

b) quotes per finished page based on the standard 6 panel comic layout and design inclusive of the sketching process to ink and lettering. Please indicate any additional cost for colouring.
