Hello. I am the co-founder and CEO of My New Enterprise. We are an entrepreneurial training company. My business partner, Mike Glauser, and I have studied entrepreneurship in America for over 20 years. Between us we have started nearly a dozen companies. We have met with and interviewed hundreds of entrepreneurs in nearly every state in the country. We have created documentary films about some our country's most inspiring business builders. We have developed online entrepreneurial training curriculum for universities, corporations, franchises and small businesses. We have written best-selling books about entrepreneurship in America.
This summer, my company is embarking on an eight-week cross-country journey to search out some of our country's most successful small-town entrepreneurs. We are doing this to celebrate entrepreneurship in America and to show that small business is alive and well even in small-town America. We will start on the Pacific Ocean in Florence, Oregon and end on the Atlantic Ocean in Yorktown, Virginia. We will pass through 104 small towns and will document the stories of well over 100 small-town entrepreneurs. We will follow the Trans America Bicycle Trail. This trail was created in 1976 to commemorate the bicentennial of the Declaration of Independence. It was purposely designed to avoid large cities, and it features some of our most beautiful scenery. It crosses 10 states through the heart of America: Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky and Virginia.
On this trip we are taking with us our documentary film crew. Each small town that we pass through, we will meet with and do filmed interviews with many of the local entrepreneurs. Every evening a video journal will be posted online to document the activities of the day (adventures from the road, people we meet, cool companies, fun experiences, etc.) We will travel this trip in a motorhome. A group of us will be cycling the entire way.
We need a logo that we can put on our website, our videos, our swag, our motorhome, and that we can send to the media for press releases. This will be a highly publicized and visible tour. Depending on what someone can create for a logo, we will also need a t-shirt designed that will capture the essence of this trip. We want the design to be catchy, fun and unique and to capture the spirit of this cross-country tour.
