The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) is a small not-for-profit organisation working to eliminate the main causes of avoidable blindness and visual impairment by bringing together governments and non-government agencies to develop and advocate for eye care programs.
This document is designed to provide Committees/National bodies working towards eliminating avoidable blindness with guidelines for operation and set-up.
Description of Job Requirements:
The IAPB requires illustrations for its document titled: Guidelines for Eye Health Committees. The text for this document has already been finalized.
Illustrations will need to be provided electronically and able to be sized to fit the white space allocated in the document.
A total of 11 illustrations are required.
Illustrations can be in either colour or black and white.
Target Audience for Document:
The document is targeted towards countries in Asia and the Pacific who do not currently have a functioning Eye Health Committee. Illustrations should have a more global flavour and feature representations of Asia and the Pacific Islands if possible.
It can also be used as a checklist for existing committees. People who will use this document will most likely work in government health departments, or for non-government organisations (NGOs).
People reading this document may not have English as a first language and the illustrations are to provide interest and break-up the text.
