We are in the final phase of building a website that generates lead and job opportunities for the construction industry. Think of it as similar to Freelancer – e.g. a customer posts a job, a service provider applies and the customer can appoint based on proposal, reviews, budget etc.
Our concept builds on what our competitors offer but aims to differentiate itself through additional services, its look and feel, and its pricing structure.
We will be happy to share further information on the product once the successful applicant is appointed.
We have identified the following three sites as major competitors:
• Rated People [url removed, login to view]
• My Builder [url removed, login to view]
• Checkatrade [url removed, login to view]
These businesses are established and already exploit a wide range of media very effectively. There are also lesser-known sites trying to muscle in on this territory.
WHAT WE WANT
Currently we are looking for someone to develop an integrated marketing plan that considers cost effective strategies and tactics to drive users to our site. We are hoping attract 25,000 paying and non-paying subscribers in our first year.
While we prefer a plan that is digitally focused (to enhance our SEO), we remain open to other marketing routes. Essentially, we are looking for someone to advise on tactics that better our ROI…
We may also be interested in developing a long-term relationship where the successful individual can assist in the production of content, e.g. website copywriting, press releases, blogs etc.
WHO ARE WE TARGETING
Our intention is to target two customer bases:
• People working in the construction industry (in the UK).
• Customers seeking services from the construction industry (this could also be B2B).
The website is currently in its final phases of development and our projected launch date is the 21st March 2014 so we are looking to hire ASAP!
We have a marketing budget in mind but want your advice on what funds would be required to penetrate the market. That said, funds are not limitless.
