Our US company makes high end electric skateboards called the Metroboard (www.metro-board.com). We've been selling our product online since 2007. Our most important search term is "Electric Skateboard". We used to be in position 2 or 3 in Google for the last several years (and even reached position 1 in Mid Dec 2012), but then mid January 2013 we suddenly dropped to position 5, and now we are hovering between position 8-12, which is not good for business! I assume this was due to a Google algorithm change, since one of our competitors that was typically #1 also dropped to #5. We want to be back in the top 5 (ideally top 3) for the search term "Electric Skateboard" for customers searching via Google the US. We've done some more on-site optimization since we dropped, but it does not seem to be helping just yet. We also added an onsite blog which we update at least 2 times/week, 2 offsite blogs, a Facebook Page, and a Facebook Group. What’s confusing is that on Bing and Yahoo we are in position 3 (which is actually an improvement over where we were a few months ago) which is fine, but I’m not sure why Google doesn’t value us the same way!
Interested in White Hat SEO only. It's also critical that we work with someone:
a) who specializes in SEO and who can apply a broad approach (e.g., backlinking, directory listings, social media, etc)
b) whom we can speak to on the phone (in addition to email and IM), and that has a proven track record for producing results quickly
c) who can provide references for previous SEO work
Before you contact us, please do some preliminary analysis as to why our Google Ranking has dropped, and what you would propose to bring it back up!
