knitshop.co.uk is currently seeking to fill the role of a Marketing Manager.
The work is expected to be carried out in a precise and independent manner, delivered with accuracy and on time. Required skills for this position are professional writing in styles for print and on-line: blog, static copy and social networking media. All job items would need to be delivered according to the brand guidelines of the company and with a mind of the targeted readership/market. The marketing manager will be working with and reporting to the Company Director/MD. This is a position based on and off site of knitshop.co.uk - an opportunity for home based work, subject to assessment of the candidate's work experience and ethic. This is a freelance position, payment will be made on completed project basis.
Develop an annual marketing plan, this should detail the year's activity to meet the agreed company objectives and will serve as the guideline of the projects for this position.
Manage all aspects of print production, receipt and distribution of publications and other media.
Achieve frequent, timely and positive media coverage across available publications on and off line.
Implement the marketing plan throughout the year as needed.
Market products and services to the targeted market.
Demonstrate product knowledge.
Produce all marketing material for traditional and new-media marketing tools.
Manage and product marketing for all shop outlets.
Conduct market research in order to identify market requirements for current and future products, place and positioning.
Develop and implement a company-wide plan to push product, working with all departments for its execution.
A marketing manager should:
