We need a job tracking program (PROJECT?) with an interface written to the following specs:
The data contained will be the unit/home number for the unit in progress, once purchased, and the date that the specific steps are completed. My goal is to have 2 employees entering that day’s dates into fields each day to indicate which stages were completed that day. I also want them to be able to generate Reports each day and choose to view or print it (or not). The administrative manager will only be interested in certain fields and the refurb manager will only be interested in others.
When one of them logs on, they should be prompted with “Unit Number?” Then they normally will be entering today’s date into the next blank subsequent field for that unit number.
2 levels of access. One (Admin and Refurb managers) is only able to enter data into blank fields, the other (management) is able to edit all data.
3 reports will need to be generated The reports should not error out if on occasion a step is performed out-of-sequence. E.g. The field in D occasionally gets a date that is before the date in column C. The 3 reports are:
Report #1 (MANAGEMENT) to show the average amount of time that elapses from one field to another for any choice of fields. (e.g. from one task to the next) or from first field to last for a given time period.
Report #2 (“REFURB STATUS”) to show current status. A summary report that Shows all units (stock numbers) waiting on each task. This report would need to be generated constantly (or daily) and would only show certain fields.
Report #3 (“ADMIN STATUS”) to show current status of administrative tasks. The report will show unit numbers waiting for task completion date entry on fields that the previous field has been completed and the next field (empty) is designated as an administrative task. Certain task are designated to show up in both reports because it is a joint responsibility. All other tasks will be only on one report or the other.
