Simple Java Web Start Swing application (File Manager)

Develop a simple Java Swing application that can be run via Java Web Start. The application has only three features (a) downloads a TAR file from access controlled Web URL, extracts the TAR using the Apache Jakarta Open source TAR implementation ([url removed, login to view]) into a directory on the hard drive. (b) shows a list of files in a certain directory on two locations of the harddrives and (left side) and (right side) and features two buttons to copy a file from left to right. (c) allows to set the preferences

(username, password, directory 1 (can be choosen with standard file chooser), directory 2 (can be choosen with standard file chooser). The application preferences are stored on disk.
