Description: JAVA powered .sh script parser, and launcher.
Interface mockup: http://log-n-load.com/dbayer/

A SINGLE RENDER COMMAND: (152 DPX frames in 10bit Log space, at a res of 2048x1152. Creates a sub-directory.)

REDline -i InputFileName.R3D -o OutputFileName --outDir /path/to/rendered/sequence/ --resizeX 2048 --resizeY 1152 -w 0 -R 1 -I 320 -B 0 -C 0 -x -2 -T 1 -r 1 -g 1 -b 1 -X 0.5 --blackX 0 --blackY 0 --toeX 25 --toeY 25 --midX 50 --midY 50 --kneeX 75 --kneeY 75 --whiteX 100 --whiteY 100 --black 0 --white 100 -G 4 -d 8 -D 0 --NR 0 -c 11 -k 5600 -t 0 -s 839 -e 991

The above command is run in a terminal window.

MULTIPLE COMMANDS CAN BE ASSEMBLED IN A SHELL SCRIPT. (We usually run scripts of 10 or more commands, essentially firing off a render that will last for a weekend.)

REDline -i InputFileName.R3D -o OutputFileName --outDir /path/to/rendered/sequence/ --resizeX 2048 --resizeY 1152 -w 0 -R 1 -I 320 -B 0 -C 0 -x -2 -T 1 -r 1 -g 1 -b 1 -X 0.5 --blackX 0 --blackY 0 --toeX 25 --toeY 25 --midX 50 --midY 50 --kneeX 75 --kneeY 75 --whiteX 100 --whiteY 100 --black 0 --white 100 -G 4 -d 8 -D 0 --NR 0 -c 11 -k 5600 -t 0 -s 839 -e 991

REDline -i InputFileName.R3D -o OutputFileName --outDir /path/to/rendered/sequence/ --resizeX 2048 --resizeY 1152 -w 0 -R 1 -I 320 -B 0 -C 0 -x -2 -T 1 -r 1 -g 1 -b 1 -X 0.5 --blackX 0 --blackY 0 --toeX 25 --toeY 25 --midX 50 --midY 50 --kneeX 75 --kneeY 75 --whiteX 100 --whiteY 100 --black 0 --white 100 -G 4 -d 8 -D 0 --NR 0 -c 11 -k 5600 -t 0 -s 839 -e 991

REDline -i InputFileName.R3D -o OutputFileName --outDir /path/to/rendered/sequence/ --resizeX 2048 --resizeY 1152 -w 0 -R 1 -I 320 -B 0 -C 0 -x -2 -T 1 -r 1 -g 1 -b 1 -X 0.5 --blackX 0 --blackY 0 --toeX 25 --toeY 25 --midX 50 --midY 50 --kneeX 75 --kneeY 75 --whiteX 100 --whiteY 100 --black 0 --white 100 -G 4 -d 8 -D 0 --NR 0 -c 11 -k 5600 -t 0 -s 839 -e 991

ETC......

THEN PROBLEM...

Obviously, even though we are accessing a command line set on a local machine, it is very cumbersome to keep assembling scripts, not to mention making all text files .sh, chmod +x filename.sh and executing the script with a ./filename.sh command after finding the file path.

That's why I want to make this JAVA powered script parser that will run on any local platform. http://log-n-load.com/dbayer/

THIS LEGEND MATCHES "REDLINE_LAUNCHER.jpg". This shows the link from the interface front end to the elements in the script.

1. Want to load a Java program on a windows or mac or even a web app that can be opened locally on any machine using a browser. Interface mockup at http://log-n-load.com/dbayer

2. Input File Name: Either by browsing for the file on the local machine or network, or simply typing in the path. A browse selection will show up in the text field.

3. Output File name. (No spaces)

4. Separate output directory...

5 and 6. Resizing file. Also enter the START and END frame numbers.

7 and 8. If this path and filename are entered, then add this entire string right after --outDir variable. Only rsxName and path are used. Do NOT change the useRSX 1 variable.

9. Write command enters the full command with variables in the top of the window. Each time the Write Command button is pressed, a new command paragraph is entered, separated by a double space.

10. When the RENDER SCRIPT button is selected, the entire collection of commands is run as a .sh executable in the terminal window. (./renderscript.sh.

11. If checked, then add the command, --fit 1 right after the ---resizeY variable.

That's all
j.

PS. Note, I say Linux OS but this is being run on an intel mac and intended to control a command line program called Redline which is part of RedAlert. www.red.com
