Looking to develop a simple, corporate branded OpenVPN client that is cross-platform (hence java) and preferably using Swing or other common Java-based GUI toolkit so that modifications and integration into other IDE's is easy.
Essentially this is just a GUI project. When launched, the user is prompted for login information, and contains other basic menu-item details like support links, help-->about, that sort of thing.
The client would then authenticate against a webservice (already there), where it would not only auth, but pull user and platform specific configuration.
On successful authentication, the client would essentially launch openvpn as a background process, and perform some basic monitoring of that process, reestablishing if lost, etc.
With well written requirements, this is probably a small weekend project for the right developer.
