Project Description:
We have an existing website we would like SOME components replicated in HTML5/Javascript. You can view the silverlight site here http://cosmosbeta.surrey.ca/apps/COSMOSbeta/
The intent of the new HTML5/Javascript site is to work on a mobile device (tablet/smartphone). We will be modifying existing functionality and workflow to accomodate mobile device. We have the code behind for most of the tools completed.
The framework we would like to reproduce are:
1. Same look in terms of design graphics.
2. The 'I Want To...', 'Layers & Legend', 'Document Search', 'Search (box at top)', 'Information'. These are placeholders only, no code behind required.
3. The application would prompt user to permit access to their current location.
4. 'Aerial' Button. Placeholders only, no code behind required.
5. User can zoom in/out with finger gestures (e.g. pinch to zoom in).
6. Detect if user is smartphone or tablet, present tools & map if tablet, or only tools if on a smartphone. Smarthphone user would interact with either the tool menu or map at one time.
