Macro to load XML content into MS Word 2010 template

Project Description:
This project is about automatically loading a few variables from an XML file into a Microsoft Word template. The Word template and an exemplary XML file are attached. I had a macro that loaded the custom XML into my Word template, but with an upgrade to Word 2010 it broke. I need the capability of loading the XML content back and to be compatible with Word 2010. If necessary, the XML schema is attached.

Acceptance test: I will use the Word file with Macro that you provide with an XML file following the same schema, but different content. The Macro must ask for an XML file to load.
Acceptance Criterion: Macro must automatically populate fields like Inventor Name, Application Number etc. in the attached .docx file. The macro has to be provided in editable format and commented, so that I can modify it for other templates which may need additional data, i.e. I will review the macro code.
