Project Description:
We need the smooth creation of simple graphs based on data obtained from server (over RESTful webservice). Above all the graphs must be robust, reliable and smooth and run well on all Android devices (from version 2.2) without causing slow page transitions (maybe use prefetch and local DB caching).

Ideally this graph/chart creation will be written in HTML/JS/CSS/jQM (web app through browser, non-native) however smoothness has a higher priority hence also frameworks like Phone gap to create a hybrid (native app) for Android can be considered. It’s up to you to prove the best approach.

Above all your way of working and quality in all processes - also communication and planning - will be crucial to get selected for a collaboration. An exploratory call will be one of the next steps if you are interested to explore this project further. Please only apply if you have enough bandwidth in the coming week and send us your references with graphs and charts.

We need the smooth creation of simple graphs based on data obtained from server (over RESTful webservice). Above all the graphs must be robust, reliable and smooth and (ideally) run well on all Android devices (ideally from version 2.2 if possible) without causing slow page transitions (maybe use prefetch and local DB caching).

Example of an application similar to ours: Imagine a catalogue with 400 cars. On your smartphone you will swipe from car to car. Each car has monthly measurement results (of a certain parameter) for the last 12 months. Some cars have even measurement results of the last 5 years. These measurement results have to be plotted in a graph for each car. The page transition when swiping the next or previous car has to remain smooth and internet connection may not be reliable.

Ideally this graph/chart creation will be written in HTML/JS/CSS/jQM (web app through browser, non-native) if near-to-native smoothness (quality) can be achieved. Therefore, we are also open to frameworks like Phonegap for creating a hybrid app or even a full native app for Android. Our first priority will go those who claim to do it in a technology fully accessible through browser (URL, web app). So far we have not found anyone who can create a high-quality app in a technology fully accessible through browser (besides many claims, no results).

Above all your way of working and quality in all processes - also communication and planning - will be crucial to get selected for a collaboration. An exploratory call will be one of the next steps if you are interested to explore this project further. Please only apply if you have enough bandwidth in the coming week and send us your references with your highest quality graphs and charts, using the swipe gesture to go to the next or previous graph.
