Project Description:
I am looking for an experienced Java and or C++ programmer to develop a data interface program. I also require the programmer to be familiar with programming and initiating a (MySQL) database. The database will be uploaded on a LINUX VPS.
The interface program will retrieve certain data from a data stream provided by a third party and stores those data into the database. The third party offers a range of different API´s ( among them Java and C++) to retrieve the necessary data stream. The data is refreshed every 5 - 10 or 15 seconds and needs to be stored to the database on a daily basis . The data needed to be stored are percentages of increase or decrease compared to an opening price quote of the day. At certain, predefined moments , the percentages are refreshed and set to zero and the cycle will start over again receiving the data, extrapolating percentages every 5-10-15 seconds and storing.
Except from retrieving and storing the necessary data there is no need for extra functionality other then providing the percentage output. Other then in real time analyzing the data there is no need for manipulating or reporting the data. Therefore, I am asking for a relatively simple interfacing program.
I have written a more detailed program and database design which I can email to those programmers who are interested.
