1. Application statement
This project is an electronic platform for lessons tracking, case documentation, and billing submission documentation for special education teachers. Users enter client information into standardized (modifiable) online forms to:
a. Store information about lessons, observations, hours worked, and billing keys
b. Produce billing output for printed or electronic submissions
The end goal is to decrease time users usually require to produce billing information from several hours to portion of an hour and provide electronic ‘books and records’ information for future references and/or audits.
2. Target audience
As describe in first paragraph, the target audience consists of special education teachers, required to keep and submit billing information to special education agencies.
3. Methods of use
Users are provided with data entry forms accessible through multiple entry points: desktops, laptops, tablets, or handheld devices. Design should incorporate an ability of online entry from either of these input points. Entered information is saved in either draft or final status and options to print and/or submit are provided separately. Electronic submissions to special education agencies are only available to participating agencies; therefore, the user should expect printing of the submission materials as default option.
