We currently have a publication produced with InDesign for three different layouts (iPad, iPhone4 and iPhone5). We have fixed templates for each layout for the articles we produce. Templates include text boxes and images. Examples of templates below :- 1- News article which will include one image, and a text box 2- Interview article which includes few images (in pre-defined places) and interview text. 3- Contributor article which includes an image and a text box We are looking for a script which will do the following for each template :- 1- Request the text (a word doc) for example, and image or images, 2- Produce three indesign files (one based on iPad resolution, another on iPhone 4 and a third on iPhone 5) which will include the text and images provided. 3- The process of producing the files should also resize the original photos provided to the size defined in the indesign template. (using save for web in photoshop) Some of the word documents word count might be longer that the pre-defined text box in the template, in this case, we want the script to increase the length of the indesign document. Thats the workflow we have in mind, but we do welcome improvement suggestions to make this workflow even easier

Hi, I am a experienced javascript scripter. Many complex projects done. Is PDF your output format? If yes, images can be scaled in InDesign and output resolution is a property of export settings. Otherwise script supposed to involve Photoshop using BridgeTalk. What is your platform? Win or Mac? Which version of InDesign are you using? Could CS 5.5 be high enough version? I need approximately 3 days for this task. Could suggest some modifications after seeing your templates. rgds Jarek
