Our Company is implementing a web plug-in, specifically a chrome extension. The purpose of the extension is to capture information on a user’s open web page, use it to populate a popup html form, and send it to an already established backend database to be added to a list.
The script must do the following after the DOM has been loaded:
-Validate for user log-in
-Link to an already built log-in page if log-in validation fails
-Extract the position of specific text found on the open page, store the specific text as a string, and then use it to populate a textbox in the form.
-Extract the URL of the page and store it internally
-Initiate http request to send string contents of the html textboxes to a location where they can be stored and manipulated by a Ruby on Rails backend database.
