SAM’S school of motoring has been opened since 2005. It is based in the city of Nottingham and started up by Shabnam Younis. They are currently using a paper based system for all the driving lesson bookings and advertisements. After speaking to them about the benefits of a website and database they have decided to let me create an application based for their company. I have had several meetings with the owner on how to expand their business through the use of a website and database system. Explaining the benefits and how it could save them time and money.
The main aims are to design and create a website and database. The website will be more for the clients, so users can see what the company offers such as what driving courses, which cars they provide, how training is given, theory test practice, flexibility of the driving instructors, advertising there business through the internet which will bring more customers and allow users to make on line bookings for their driving lessons.
The reason why the manager has decided to introduce their business online is to increase their popularity and to bring in more customers to increase the company’s profits. A feedback form on the website will be linked with the database which will allow the manager to analyse user's feedback. This will allow the manager to improve the website, to meet his website user's needs
The data base will be more for the staff of S.A.M School of motoring; this will allow the instructors to see all the students’ information, such as post code, name, and contact details. The main objective of this is that this will allow instructors to see the bookings they have for each day. If clients decide to book a driving lesson they will enter the required information and the staff of SAM school of motoring will contact them.
