Project Description:
I have the following iFrame implementation:

Parent Page - This a the page that I have control over.
Child iFrame - This is a third-party website that allows its page to be framed.

There is a javascript implementation on the child iFrame. Recently, the javascript implementation changed on the child iFrame, and this broke the behavior that I want from the frame implementation. The old implementation is displayed here:

http://mmjliquid.com

The old javascript implementation on the child iFrame has the following behavior:

1. The visitor hits the landing page. Note the "parent page" image around the iFrame.
2. The visitor clicks on one of the search terms.
3. The "parent page" stays intact, and the URL in the address bar remains the same ("http://mmjliquid.com"). In other words, the frame is not broken.

The new implementation can be found below. Please note, that the actual child iFrame domain and website layout are totally different. I'm only concerned with how the javascript behaves, not how the child iFrame looks. The below child iFrame is to demonstrate the javascript implementation only:

http://new.mmjliquid.com

The new javascript implementation on the child iFrame has the following behavior:

1. The visitor hits the landing page. Note the "parent page" image around the iFrame.
2. The visitor clicks on one of the search terms.
3. The "parent page" disappears, and the URL in the address bar changes to peircings.com instead of the parent page ("http://new.mmjliquid.com"). In other words, the new implementation breaks the frame and takes over the browser.

I want to make the new implementation work exactly the same as how the old implementation works. I have no access to the code of the child iFrame; I can only modify the code of the parent page. If you are located outside the U.S., you must find a reliable anonymous U.S. proxy to test these websites. I recommend proxynova.com to locate an anonymous proxy. If necessary, I will purchase a proxy/VPN service for you to use for additional testing. The solution must have implementations that work cross-browser (i.e., Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari), and cross-platform (i.e., desktop, mobile and tablet).

The first developer I showed this to referenced the following StackOverflow post as a possible solution, however, he was ultimately unable to solve this problem:

If you are interested, please reply with how you would approach this problem, as well as with any questions you have for me.
