I have an Excel file with short hotel information (name, address, star rating) and complete, decimal geocodes for about 160 properties . I have already generated a Google Fusion Table and in about 30 seconds made a map of the city with pins for the locations. The problem with the Fusion Tables is that you cannot assign a label or a rollover to the pin. I don't want a programmed work-around - I want to have this done in the latest Google maps API so that each property has a small toolkit box come up with the info when the mouse hovers over the pin. For someone who is already familiar with the app, it should be extremely straightforward. I also need to slice and dice the big map into about 20 maps of different districts in the city. As of now, the sub-map boundaries are not geocoded and I'm not sure if that's the way to go anyway (pick a center, and do a radius from there?). Ideally, I could get the big map, and then hand draw the boundaries I need for each smaller map. So, to sum up, here's what I'm looking for. I want to send the Excel file, have someone use my info to get a Google API key (or, I guess easier if I get that first - let me know), generate the big map, and then tell me how to cut the bigger map into the smaller maps (if it's easy). There are 160 rows and about 6 columns (including lat and long) so I don't think it's very difficult at all - that is, to someone familiar with the app. Thank you.
