Project Description:
We are looking to create an LDAP server that accesses a MySQL database containing contact information which will be then used with Outlook or another email client such as Thunderbird. The LDAP server, preferrably OpenLDAP, will be running on CentOS 6. Your Job will be to create a SHELL script that performs the following: - Install OpenLDAP server software to CentOS - Configure root user for LDAP (prompt for password) (this item may not be required?) - Configure LDAP settings - Create, Configure, and install SSL certificate for remote access to LDAP server - Create any additional configuration files/settings that are required for a fully functioning LDAP server with the ability for Outlook clients to access contact information - Configure the LDAP server to use MySQL as a database source for domain/user information with example data You will also need to: - Configure MySQL database(s) schema and indices required for the LDAP server - Create contact information database(s) and indices - Create LDAP user and domain information database(s) and indices - Create example data to prove system is working correctly.
