Project Description:
I am running Linux Redhat 5 and have some scripts written that exposes a Menu when a user logs in. Example

[root@sb1 script]# finger user1
Login: user1 Name: (null)
Directory: /home/bstm Shell: /bin/mymenush
Last login Sun Mar 3 03:03 (GMT) on pts/11 from
No mail.
No Plan.

I have attached a file with some sample menu scripts.

The requirement is

1. Users need to log in via the menu script (controlled where they can go and what they can do)

2. Selectively log screen output / keystroke depending on menu item picked to a file that they cannot change

Example may want to log when MySQL menu is selected and capture all output but from the unix menu where for example I have

1. Kill a process
2. Start Backup
3. Restore Backup

Only interested in say 1, Kill a process

I have looked at the script function, see sample script attached.

3. On exit, compress and ftp/mail file
