Senior Linux Administrator (Expert)

This role entails architecture planning, troubleshooting and general maintenance of high available software platforms based on Linux. Our services process millions of transactions per day. That's why we are regularly updating and seeking for new/improved technologies.
You will be working with small team of 3 experts managing 60+ physical servers and many more VMs.
To be considered for this position, you must know or have the following experience:
o Maintain high work quality standards while under intense internal and external pressures to meet demanding and often-public expectations
o 5+ years of high-volume public-facing, 100%-uptime (SLA-based) web tier network administration and engineering
o Experience administering more than 100 servers in customer-facing production environments, high-traffic and load balanced network - ideally at a major SaaS company
o Understand how to diagnose multiple servers with tools such as iostat, netstat, vmstat, syslog, sar, top, and ps
o Must have expert knowledge of common network services such as HTTP, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, FTP, SSH
o Experience working with http traffic (engineering or administration) including monitoring, scaling, troubleshooting and root cause analysis
o Highly preferred knowledge about tuning Linux servers and services: web servers, Linux kernel, firewalls, load balancers and switches
o Experience working with large-scale 3rd party hosting providers and vendors
o Strong work ethic, follow-through, detail-orientation, prioritization, and ability to work with minimal supervision through project goals
o Excellent written and verbal skills: ability to clearly communicate milestones, project goals and requirements with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a timely manner while meeting project deadlines
o Fanaticism about automation - make the computers do the work for you.
