Project Description:
We have a small local Ethernet network with computers working on Ubuntu, Mageia 2 and Fedora 17, a router and a modem connecting us through ADSL to our internet service provider.
Internet (at least the web) strangely becomes very slow 8 hours after the previous boot, for computers with Mageia 2 or Fedora, though internet is still OK for the other computers, and the local network works correctly, as well as ping.
Reboot solves the problem for the concerned computer, but unplugging and plugging back both the router and the modem don't do any good.

The project will consist in
1) Finding the bug.
2) Fixing it (NOT just finding a workaround, except if it gets proved that it is a hardware problem) according to the standards of the relevant community (for instance KDE if it turns out to be a KDE bug).
3) Getting the patch accepted by the relevant community.
4) Explaining to us how to install the patch without waiting for it to be packaged and released by the Linux distributions.

The freelancer will NOT have access to the computer, but we will provide for all relevant files he will ask for.
