Project Description:
Hi, i have a small VPS and would like to setup a very simple, vanilla VPN on this VPS. Nothing special, only 1 client.. just for me.
The server runs Centos 5. 10Gb, 128Mb. Its a VPS. You have root access.
I need:
- To set this up
- A step by step capture of exactly how this is done, line by line.
Thats it! If you know how, a simple job. Message me!

I realise I didnt make the project as clear as I could:
I need to route internet traffic through the VPS. i.e. i want to connect to the VPS via a VPN and browse the internet from the VPS (which is in the UK, I am not currently).
So I think that would require Iptables. Please note that
the Ethernet device is listed as "venet" and cannot be changed by the server admin people.. (OpenVPN support wanted it to be changed to "veth" otherwise they said that I couldnt install OpenVPN). Otherwise, the VPS support people have said that all these modules have been
loaded:
ipt_REJECT ipt_tos ipt_TOS ipt_LOG ip_conntrack ipt_limit
ipt_multiport iptable_filter iptable_mangle ipt_TCPMSS ipt_tcpmss
ipt_ttl ipt_length ipt_state iptable_nat ip_nat_ftp
Please note that I would like a SSH printout of what you do to make it happen! (and any brief
notes about that) so i can repeat the process at another time if neccessary.
