Project Description:
I have a Magento website in which most of my prices will be in whole dollar values. I'd like the site to remove any cents from these values so that $15.00 looks like $15. However, I still want the cents to appear if the price is not a whole dollar amount. So, if a price is $15.25, I still want the .25 to be visible. This will help for currency changes and calculating shipping and taxes during the checkout phase. I'd like this behavior to be persistent throughout the entire site.
So, to recap, throughout the entire site whole dollar amounts will be treated as such:
$15.00 will appear as $15
$29.00 will appear as $29
etc...
But prices with cent values will appear with the cents and not be rounded.
$15.47 will appear as $15.47
$29.73 will appear as $29.73
etc...
I will have multiple currencies set up on my site (though they aren't yet). I want this behavior to be the same for all currencies. Most likely, the prices that were whole US dollars ($15) will have cents due to various exchange rates (£9.67).
