Trusts and Major Gift Fundraising Manager needed urgently on an interim basis to start ASAP.

Project Description:
Key responsibilities will include:
- Undertake new research on grant giving bodies and major donors with whom the charity could develop partnerships in order to generate funds
- Apply to statutory or lottery funders
- Implement a programme of regular trust and grant applications in order to meet fundraising target
- Draft and submit applications to potential funders, including writing relevant, creative proposals and pitches
- Maintain a network of trust contacts and effectively manage and maximise these relationships
- Maintain and monitor a database of trust and major donor contacts
- Ensure that all donors are thanked and relationships maintained
- Undertake own administrative support.
- Manage the Trust and Major Gifts Assistant Work closely with Patient Services to develop and compile funding proposals
- Research, identify and segment trusts and major donors using appropriate databases
- Prepare and implement cultivation plans as appropriate for major donor prospects to maximise long term income
- Manage cultivation events to engage with prospects and deliver long term funding opportunities
In order to apply you will have the following skills and experience:
- Experience in a fundraising environment, raising funds from grant-giving organisations and/or major donors
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Ability to write innovative funding proposals and applications, working independently using research skills
- A thorough understanding of the essential components of trust fundraising and major donor strategies
- The ability to work to budgets and targets
- Experience of lottery and statutory fundraising is an advantage
- Excellent IT skills in all MS Office applications and fundraising databases is essential
