I have a new online business idea that I am wanting market tested prior to establishing to identify if there is in fact a market for this product and to capture valuable market data.
The business idea is to combine a online dating service with a relationship coaching service, where members would frequent a website to identify other singles and attend online relationship coaching webinars. My target market would be single people who would like to meet other singles who have sorted their emotional baggage and have completed some form of personal development, or are interested in seeking assistance by psychologists, counsellor, relationship coaches etc, to sort potential issues that are preventing them having successful and lasting relationships. The premise behind this is that many people fail to have the quality relationship they desire because they are not aware of beliefs and counterproductive behaviours that maybe stopping them and seeing them continuously attract the wrong partner. I envisage that the target market could be broadened by opening it to all singles, but they would have to complete a number of personal development webinars before they could qualify as being a member who could potentially contact other members who have already completed personal development.
My points of difference to current dating sites would be increased security by having video profiles rather than just photo's. That members profiles would function like other social media sites such as facebook, where you could tag friends and post to your own wall. Plus the relationship webinars and expert personal one on one life coaching to increase the success of their dating experience. The business would also offer meeting opportunities through social events. Members would also have an exclusive smartphone app designed for quick and easy site access and to be able to conveniently send and receive member messages.
